Government
The five-member County Board is the governing body of Arlington. Members are elected at-large for staggered, four-year terms. The Chairman and Vice Chairman are chosen among the County Board members for a one-year term. The Board appoints a County Manager to serve as the chief administrative officer.
Location
Located across the Potomac River from Washington, DC and adjacent to the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church and Fairfax County, Virginia.
