On November 4, 2010 at Fort Belvoir, Commander Colonel John Strycula updated community leaders and installation partners on the post's personnel, infrastructure and community during the 20th annual community relations breakfast.
The annual event allows post leadership to update the civilian community on happenings within the installation's gates. Formal presentations at the event focused on Quality of Life, Belvoir Community Hospital, and Base Realignment and Closure projects.
Fairfax County Board Chairman and NVRC Board Member, Sharon Bulova made remarks about the transportation difficulties in the region and mentioned what is being done by the community, including the possibility of a commuter ferry in Northern Virginia.
