[ARCHIVED] NVRC Issues RFP for Safety Campaign Communications

Request for Proposals

The purpose of this RFP is to establish a contract for creating a social media presence and content; and paid social media advertising placements, as well as website redesign, enhancement and maintenance.

This project fulfills the overall project requirement to better communicate pedestrian safety and sharing the road in Virginia and enhancing pedestrian safety awareness on rules and best practices, by engaging users on both the ShareVaRoads.org website and owned and paid social efforts. The selected firm will redesign and enhance the ShareVaRoads.org website, create a social media presence, post social media content, engage the public with targeted paid social media advertisements, and evaluate the project’s effectiveness using website and social media results, statistics and user analytics.

The goal of this effort is to increase the public’s awareness of the rules of the road from pedestrian, bicyclists and driver’s perspectives, particularly those populations most at risk for crashes based upon location, time of day, and age. The goal is to change behaviors to lower the number of pedestrian and bicycling fatalities and injuries in Northern Virginia and statewide. This project should result in metrics that indicate that these goals are met.

The response to the RFP is no later than 5PM on March 1. RFP deadline details and other information can be found here

We have added a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document in response to questions raised about the RFP. A second FAQ document has been posted.
