To prepare for the vast challenges of climate change, local governments have no choice but think out of the box. The Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC) is fully committed to helping its members and the public keep abreast of the latest policy and technical innovations from across the region, country and world.
In that context, NVRC has organized monthly webinars to share the work of climate resiliency experts and entrepreneurs and best practices projects touching on environmental, economic and social sustainability. Each webinar will be approximately 90 minutes, profile the work of the resiliency expert and include interactive dialogue among the participants.
The first two webinars have been scheduled.
The first will be held on July 28 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM. The subject matter is Nature Based Urban Heat Island Mitigation: Ideas from Germany. The second webinar will be held on September 15 from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM. The subject matter is Livable Public Play Spaces that Integrate Natural Systems.
You MUST register to participate in either webinar. Webinar series information and registration details can be found here: https://www.novaregion.org/1469/Webinar-Series
